When you broke a bone, let's say your arm, it was a real crisis and crying time for sure! The trip to your doctor's office or the hospital was pretty hurried and the pain you felt was intense. After the X-rays the doctor probably talked to you and your parent or caretaker and told you what kind of a fracture it was, how long it would take to heal, and other general instructi. Excellent book! My friends 10 yr old had an accident breaking his hand and his hip. He has an arm cast and a body cast. I wanted something designed for him to understand the healing process. I went to visit and his mom showed me the book. It was perfect! I wouldn't recommend to kids under 8. It's colorful and interesting. A great gift for any child dealing with a broken bone!.
