A delightful paranormal In this story, we follow young Todd as he travels to his grandfather's village and meets new people, some his own age like Andrew and the lovely Marigold, some older like Shaun, and some really old, but all interesting and weird in Todd's opinion. Todd unravels his past bit by bit as he encounters friendship, love, greed, and hatred. The author's incredible writing. Sucked into a wonderful book persnickity reader I'd had a rough day and what I wanted desperately was to disappear into a really good book--and am glad I discovered Helen Scott Taylor has published a new book as this totally did the job. I devoured this book in one sitting. (Yes, I'm an adult who likes to read really good YA novels, because they are such good stories.) Wildwood is full of characters I liked and . I loved the mythology and world she has set her story in, and enjoyed watching Todd's reaction as he maneuvered his way through the plot twist. Excellent characters, action, voodoo, suspense -- a real page turner!
