I think I read Overcoming Life's Disappointments and really enjoyed it. I am also not as traditionally religious as my daughter's preschool, which talks about Jesus and crosses, etc. so I thought this might be a good book for our home. I am a tad disappointed. First of all, this book is very small--much smaller than other board books, more like the tiny Dr. Seuss ones. "Just okay." according to Mrs. Ocoee. My boys favorite part of this book is the illustrations. He loves the picture of the little boy getting a band-aid put on his knee. Or the picture of the elderly lady in a wheel chair that reminds him of his mimi. The text is okay.
