Great book! This is such a sweet book and would make a great baby shower gift for a new mom to read to her baby. I read it to my children all of the time and they love it!. "Love the illustrations" according to Dipsy Doodle. Really sweet book. But I mainly bought it because of the illustrator Paige Keiser as she is one of my favorite illustrators.. "Love it!!!" according to Laura L. Harrison. The cover photo does not do the book justice. Two Handsis one of the sweetest (not sappy though) new picture books. The illustrations are darling and compliment the joyous text perfectly. A lovely gift for the newborn (especially if you are tired of the usual Tillman, Frasier and Freedman standards) or just a great night time, loving read.
All end with the same couplet: "For you are my baby; I'll never be far./I'll love you, think of you, wherever you are." The story starts with an infant and ends with a toddler. This sweet book would make a good choice for baby programs or a one-on-one read. Pair it with Mem Fox's Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes (Harcourt, 2008) and Robert Munsch's Love You Forever (Firefly, 1995).—Emily E.
