The best (and funniest) intro to genetics I know microevolution If you or your kid is having trouble with molecular genetics TRY THIS 1ST! You won't be sorry. Lots of good info very amusingly presented, enough to get the basics down. Then move on to something deeper and not funny, like your text.. I cannot wait for the movie Bernie A short but colorful book loaded with facts. And the spoon full of sugar comes from a unique way of presenting the facts; an alien comes to earth to find what we are made of.For those that have problems getting around the whole DNA concept or just need parts filled in this an excellent starting place.Even have a Glossary, "For Further Reading", . I read this as a child and loved it! This was one of my favorite books as a child. The explanations were very clear, the alien-narrator gimmick created a sense of narrative that kept me reading, and the information stayed in my memory long after I lost the book. I would definitely recommend this to anyone taking a kid on a long car/plane ride. It was easy to read it more than once.
