Save your money bookworm This is the sixth edition of this book, and I already possess three previous editions. I have used them a lot in the past and was excited to see what new approaches and insights this rather expensive but always rewarding text might offer. I was confused when I saw an article I thought I had read more than twenty years before by Ann L. Brown, Annmarie Palinscar and Bonnie B. Armbruster, not because the article wasn't good. It's great. But the practice of "reciprocal teaching" being espoused in it is not exactly news. When I looked at the opening footnote, I saw th. Just buy the textbook The contents themselves are great and very thought-provoking. But as an E-textbook, this just falls so low of the mark. There are no page numbers in this kindle version, even on the table of contents! How am I Supposed to cite sources let alone follow along in class when the professor wants us to look up a specific excerpt?! And it's not that much cheaper than a softcover, so I'd just buy that.. Dense, but Good Reading Amanda First of all, this book is dense. But you want to understand various school of thought on reading, this is a great book.
