Not what I expected. Not what I expected. Couldn't finish reading it. It just wasn't my personal preference. The main character killed the dog and tried to hide the fact from the family that loved the Poodle.. Laura V. said Enjoyabletake with a grain of salt!. Lots of delicious ironies in these stories. If you are looking for a feel-good doggy story, this book is not for you. In fact, there are some non-pc references, for those who wish to avoid such things. Written around the turn of the century, one must take the era into consideration when rating this kind of writing. I enjoyed it, and the price was right!. love this great story lines felt sorry for the guy in the first tale.good reading and enteraining easy to read got as e-book can't beat price
