Enter Washington Irving who bought his notes and assembled them into this well written book. It is a narrative of their adventures and a great window into a the mo. Review of The Adventures of Captain Bonneville The descriptions the tribal customs of individual Indian groups and their various acceptance or resistance to the trappers is enlightening.
