"Eve Dallas growths at a stand still. Getting boring" according to Barbara H. I been reading this series since the beginning and it is starting to get stale and predictable. I am also getting very annoyed with the way Eve Dallas gets portrait . For one Eve rarely eats, always forgets to eat or doesn't have time or needs to be forced to eat . For someone that works out for hours at a time , has sex anytime she can and has at times a very physical demanding job she should be passing out all the time from malnutrition. Also it does not matter how exhausted , tired , hungry and physically hurt Eve is she has to have sex and at times very rough sex. Given what has happened in. Disappointing and Way Too Gruesome One Happy Reader I adore J.D. Robb/Nora's books and have been a loyal fan of this series from the beginning. I've loved all the previous books, although I felt the book right before this one was lacking sparks. I was shocked and very disappointed by this latest installment. The main focus is on the atrocities committed by the murderer and there is far too much from his point-of-view and far too much detail given to the grisly, brutal torture of his victims. After the 3rd murder, I honestly couldn't stomach reading the rest in detail, it made me feel physically ill. I ended up skimming to read about Eve and Roar. Larry Bullard said Kill family and friends for fun. I love police fiction, and while this is the only author who writes stories in the future that I like, the future adds just a little color to the story. This story has the most violent content of any I have read by this author, the police work made the story. Most criminals are stupid and cowards, but that is not what makes them criminals. It is there belief that anything they do is justified and those who they hurt and the one working to catch them are dumb, cheats and only there to give these evil creep their fun. This was that kind of perp. The end of the story was great. He got beat and cri
Lt. At one point she calls Reinhold a fucking moron, then adds he's cannier than I gave him credit for initially. (Sept.) . Eve also has trouble assessing her quarry. Eve Dallas, of the New York Police and Security Department, gets on Reinhold's trail, but the savvy veteran makes a rookie mistake by not warning a clear target of Reinhold's rage that she could be the next victim. On impulse, 26-year-old Jerald Reinhold, an unemployed loser, stabs his mother, Barbara, to death in his parents' Manhattan apartment, where he waits until his father, Carl, comes home so he can bludgeon Carl with a baseball bat. Agent: Amy Berkower, Writers House. From Publishers Weekly Apart from references to such things as advanced robots and vids (the new name for theatrical movies), 2060 New York City is indistinguishable from present-day Gotham in bestseller Robb's 38th full-length E
