"probably needs adult supervision" according to Guest. a lot of the experiments get messy and should either be done outside or over a sink. also need to chop up the cabbage and boil it for another experiment, there is also a staining mess factor for several experiments. I would recommend most experiments be done with an adult, and this kit also repeats many times to have an adult help, so that is another thing to consider when buying this kit. (and not all ingrediants for the experiments are included, but they aren't too expensive to get). M Andreas said Good, not great. My 7 yr old daughter likes it, but you do need to supply several ingredients on your own to complete some activities. It's on par with other kid's science kits that we've bought.. Ingredients not included! Basically you're paying $20 for a tiny baggie of glow-in-the-dark powder and some small plastic utensils. There's nothing you can do with this kit unless you have other things lying around the house. One of the experiments, "Lemony Invisible Ink", requires salt, lemon juice, a measuring spoon, cotton swab or paintbrush, paper and crayon. NONE of these items are included in the kit! In the "Glow Dough" recipe, the mixing bowl that comes with the kit is way too small, and the 1 tiny scoop of glow powder didn't show up at all in the
