Even though this book was written because a father has an ax to grind about how his daughter was treated by a particular publishing house, that doesn't make the information any less valid. I wonder if, since the daughter (an author) is under a gag order and not allowed to discuss this information, if the father would get in trouble for doing so.Interestingly, I actually did read one of the two books written by the author's daughter, Millenia Black, years ago, a. "The Author even express the love he has to a country that just made her" according to Cargo Vine Customer Service. It's just unbelievable how people from different culture, religion or whichever the case is being discriminated. The book talks about a father that wants to tell the truth about what happened with her daughter with a publishing company. The talent is the talent it cannot be identified because how you look or where you are from or the color or your skin. The Author even express the love he has to a country that just made her daughter suffered, and how she cannot. An eye opening account CJ I have to admit that I was not aware of the extent of racial inequality within the publishing industry until I read this book. Bottom line, it's unequivocally wrong to base marketing decisions and rights afforded to an author based on their race. Being successful as a publisher (or otherwise) doesn't preclude the ability to act with integrity and compassion. Thanks to the author for sharing this story. With awareness hopefully there can be change.
