Fantastic book! This book is marvellous in its simplicity, yet it provides all of the scientific information about Pluto. My 5 year old was fascinated by it!. great book mlegoria I saw this book at the Lowe Observatory, the observatory that first discovered and named Pluto in 1930. This book provides the background information for Pluto's change of classification and the process that scientists went through to finally define a planet. This book handles these topic in a way that is understandable for small children. I must have book for early childhood educators.. "Great book!" according to Suzanne McDowell. My 7 year old loves this book. It answers all of her questions about Pluto, and even helped her feel better about Pluto's being "demoted".
