Essential for PHANTASM fans! The Tall Man is beaming with pride. FOR ANGUS SCRIMM, 1926 - 2016Before beginning this review, I would like to take a moment to note the passing of Rory Guy, also known by his stage name of Angus Scrimm, who created an iconic character when he played "The Tall Man" in the first "Phantasm" and the subsequent sequels. He is a huge and perhaps central part of what makes the films so memorable. You could make more "Phantasm" films and get someone else to play the part, but it would never, never, never be the same. The fifty or sixty-odd interviewees obviously had a blast working on Coscarelli's films and their affectionate, often humorous reminiscences glow out from the paragraphs of Dustin McNeill's skillfu prose. I've read the book all through but can't resist picking it up and re -reading again and again.at random for fresh enjoyment If I do have one single objection,, it's that the "Smells good, tastes sensational" according to Lawrence Rory Guy.
