This book is completely out of the norm of what I usually read (history, spy novels), so it was brand new territory for me. I think what was the most compelling part of the book for me was the way Marcy created a world in which she has no experience in. The language and the actions of the characters; including the things they wanted and were avoiding, were eye opening to me. Completely new world for me and it got me thinking of a homeless person's perspective. I certainly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who wants to view life from a different lens.. Amazon Customer said I loved the book. I loved the book! It usually takes me awhile to get engrossed in a book. I was hooked after chapter 1. The book is written from the eyes of an 11 year old, and that is exactly how it reads. Copper sees things and says things that really keep you in the story. It is a page turner. Again, I loved the book, and now I wait for the next book to come out to discover the next adventure for Copper. I also loved reading about the author at the end and how this story was "born" and developed by her experiences and places she had been in her own life. Job well done Marcy McKay!
