Best below stairs historical romance I've read in a very long time I only wish it could be made into a movie, because I'd see the movie and buy the DVD!The author has a real talent for description. I felt like I was actually in the book while I was reading, watching unobserved while Janey read to her blind employer, or sat at the table with the other servants at dinner. Sat in a pew while the vicar preached. Walked through the snow and found shelter in a fallen in hut. I can't name many books like that.Other than the author's sheer talent in writing, I really loved that this was very much a below stairs book and that the main characters were mostly servants and people from the village. And I don't cry. If you are looking for a romantic book that will keep thinking about it once you are done, this is the book for you. I just can't say enough about this book. Every girl wants a man like this. Every girl should get a guy like this.
