About the Author Marty graduated Magna Cum Laude from Williams College where she studied economics and psychology and was a Division I All-American ski racer. . Marty became concerned about math education when her own children struggled in math at top public schools. Although able to help her sons, and they have continued high-level math studies, she realized most children who run into such hiccups would not be so fortunate. She “broke the curve” in statistics classes en route to getting a master’s degree in psychology from the Pennsylvania State University and also has an MBA with honors from the Harvard Business School.
