For fashion students D. England It's my understanding that this book is for students who are making their own patterns from SCRATCH. This way they start out with a perfect size eight sloper to make other patterns from.. Kirsten M. Houseknecht said good choice for study and practice. This kit and book contain pattern pieces for a size 8/10. (depending on the measurements you use)The instructions on correcting fit issues are excellent, and if you are a fashion design student (or happen to be a size 8/10) then this is an invaluable resource. basic patterns for pants, skirts, tops, and more as well as instructions on modifying them are included.the only down side is that instructions for scaling up or down for people who are no where near this size are NOT given.if more detail on getting this to fit a size oh say 1"good choice for study and practice" according to Kirsten M. Major Disappointment long time sewer This text is for beginners only, with only the most rudimentary fitting information. It is packaged along with several pellon fabric basic slopers for fitting purposes.
