GS said Excellent book!. K is for Korea is an excellent book that goes through the English ABC's with each letter standing either for a Korean word (Ex. B for Buchaechum, a special fan dance), or English translation of an aspect of Korean culture/society (ex. R for Rice). It has beautiful photographs taken in Korea for each letter and I was happy to see new concepts covered that were not in some of our other Korean books.. Beautiful Picture Book of Korea! Lynn Ellingwood This is a great book about Korea. I have Korean students so I am always looking for books about it. K is for Korea really focuses on Korean culture and things I didn't know about it before. The photographs go well with the book and I found it informative. I think my students will be able to share their culture with me while I read this book to them. There is a lot to prompt their memories.. RN_Mom said Awesome book!. What a great picture book for older children to learn about Korea! It is especially nice if your child is adopted from Korea.

Vivid photographs fill every page, each accompanied by a letter of the alphabet, as well as paragraph-length descriptions. . The succinct text manages to weave in information regarding Korea's history, religions, and traditions. Although the book is not detailed enough for reports, it does provide children with a lively taste of the country.—Donna Atmur, Los Angeles Public LibraryCopyright © Reed Business Information, a division of Reed Elsevier Inc.
