"Quick Trip to the 18th Century" according to A Customer. I read this book in a single day. It was a fast-moving, easy to read journey alongside an ordinary 18th century New England couple. While not in great depth, it does touch on the routines, joys, and challenges faced by ordinary people in that time period--whether a slave or a Colonial couple just starting out together. The we. Moving characters that pull you right in to the historically correct story line.I had a special Saturday curled up by the fireplace and enjoyed this "journey" from beginning to end. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in this trilogy by this wonderful new author. I reccommend th. kjell said Great Read!. Journey to Common Ground is a great read. It begins slowly, then picks up with the addition of Umbarra. From there, it is captivating. I had a hard time putting it down! I can't wait for the next book.
