DESCRIPTION:
Not only must he say everything twice just to be heard over his four brothers and sisters, but he finds himself the prisoner of the dreaded Hooded Fang. Poor Jacob Two-Two. What had he done to deserve such a punishment? The worst crime of all – insulting a grown-up! Although he’s small, Jacob is not helpless, especially when The Infamous Two come to his aid.
“Everyone should go out tomorrow and beat his local bookseller into submission if he hasn’t got a nice, plump display of books titled Jacob Two-Two Meets the Hooded Fang.” –New York Times Book Review
Required reading Paddler I gave this book (hardback) to a young friend. I had read him a few chapters from my Kindle one night before bed and we all, he and the adult audience loved it. I thought he'd like to finish it himself. If you are a grownup and want a book to read to a kid, this is one you should consider. Both of you will love it.. "Quite Good, Quite Good" according to Troy Parfitt. Jacob Two-Two Meets the Hooded Fang a story about a little boy who is two plus two plus two years old. He got his name from saying everything twice, which he has to do because he’s the youngest in the family and if he doesn’t nobody will hear him. One day Jacob goes on an adventure, although not the type he’d imagined. He finds himself locked away in a prison for children, one run by the ostensibly dreadful Hooded Fang and, as Jacob might say, has to find a way out; has to find a way out. This is a funny little book. I imagine kids of Jacob’s age would like it a lot. I l. Jessica said like police officers and judges. The main message in this book is that all adults, other than your own parents, are vindictive, nasty people who despise children. How can we be teaching our children that people in authority, like police officers and judges, are horrible to children? The writing is poor, the transitions between chapters is poor, and the message in the book is poor. Children in books can have adventures without undermining their confidence and trust in the adults that cross their paths.
