DESCRIPTION:
"This book is a much needed and long-awaited publication."-Steve Day, Day and Associates, Tree and Landscape Consultants, Littleton, Colorado
Great reference My company, in Montana, is expanding to include treatment of trees. We needed some help to learn id of different pests, and this book fit the bill. The pictures are great, and the descriptions are thorough and very helpful. I was pleased to discover an extensive id key in the back of the book, which should make id on-site much easier. Highly recommend!. If you have trees, you need this book! William Born This is one of the best books I have seen. If you have trees, you need this book! The pictures are excellent. Each problem contains information on diagnosis and damage. Then it explains the disease cycle and management. It has an index listing of trees and problems, or you can just look up a problem according to insects. This book is worth every penny it costs!. DenverGardener said Through and easy to use. Have seen the author speak and he is "Mr. Bug", no two ways about it. And all that comes through in this book. If you live in the West and want to know what's crawling and flying around in your yard, this is the book.
These organisms include insects and mites, viruses, bacteria, fungi, parasitic plants, and vertebrates. Insects and Diseases of Woody Plants of the Central Rockies gathers together information on most of the organisms associated with woody plants in Colorado and adjacent areas of the Central Rockies. The grouping of the organisms, the diagnostic disorders key, and the index make this publication the most comprehensive reference tool of its kind, for both industry professionals and laypersons alike.
