As Stone discovers, Barton is a spy with a rather unusual hobby: building and restoring antique furniture. The genteel world of antiques and coin dealers at first seems a far cry from Stone’s usual underworld of mobsters, murderers, and spies. HOT MAHOGANY not so Hot Margeaux12 I love Stuart Woods and his books, and at the end of his stories, you feel as if you've been on a great ride and want more. But a lot is missing in HOT MAHOGANY. The story about real and fake antiques is confusing and not easy to follow. It was all over the place and never settled on one storyline A better storyline that should have been developed was the one with Lance Cabot's brother and his loss of memory. This was buried somewhere in the confusion of the book and Stone getting it on with anyone he can. If I want to read about sex, I'll read a romance novel; I read Mr. Woods for a good who done it. Ple. Kindle Customer said Antiques Galore. Enjoyed this book from Stuart Woods Stone Barrington series. The story's theme revolves around antique American furniture---so I learned some interesting details that I did not know and found enlightening. Overall, an excellent read.. Barrington disappoints Emily Tanzillo I just finished the latest Stone Barrington novel and it is drivel. There is barely a pretext for a plot. It is simply a devise to see how many women this guy can take up to his house in Conneticut and how many men he can piss off. The dialogue is not witty or interesting in the slightest, nor are any of the characters. Disappointed is a understatement. He phoned this one in and I don't know if I will bother to read any more of Mr. Stuarts novels.
