Each easy-to-implement project includes background information for the teacher, project goals, math skills needed, a student guide with tips and strategies, and reproducible worksheets. We use the projects in this book in conjunction with traditional as well as hands-on activities to cover curriculum and standards. A helpful tool As a Special Education Resource teacher, I have found that many of these "hands on projects" are wonderful for differentiating instruction. These projects allow me to reinforce and review mathematic concepts while providing the students with an opportunity to engage with math from an entirely different perspective than regular classwork. It is a marvelously helpful tool.
