Perhaps even more significantly, I was overwhelmed by how thoroughly Christ permeated, surrounded, made possible, guided, and reigned over the whole process. Through these drawings, I hope to invite you, too, into deeper communion with God through Christ and into deeper communion with our neighbors, just as He instructed us to do.. With that image forming in my mind, I came to Colossians and was greatly enriched by the scriptural instruction that helped guide me in that exact process. After spending some months simplifying my quiet time by meditating on one passage of scripture for a month at a time, I started to realize that growing deeper in my relationship with God through prayer, meditation, and immersion in His word, was directly, though not predictably, related to the growth I experienced in my ability to love others and bear the fruit of the Kingdom
