Full-color illustrations and numerous diagrams help to. "Great Help" according to Alice Odell. The picture illustrations are some of the best I've seen for chromosomal abnormalities and the diagrams of the heart are excellent. I found this book easy to use and a great handbook for anyone in the neonatal field.. Tavalon said Great for Neonatal Professionals. This is a great book, completely geared toward the kind of healthcare professional who would take care of such little ones. I am about to take my NIC competency test and it looked like a good study resource. I can't really say if it's a good study source but it is a book I find hard to put down. Not to compare this in any way to Stephen King novels but I almost finished it the first time I picked it up. It's quite up to date
