"A beautifully written, atmospheric journey through Hong Kong" according to SDT. A beautifully written, atmospheric journey through Hong Kong. The writing flows so nicely as to make this story accessible to anyone, regardless of their connection to that part of the world. Fragrant is a very good word to describe Daiko's writing, as I felt I could smell her settings as I read. It certainly does contain adult themes, but they were handled sensitively. A very enjoyable quick read. I am now looking forward the reading the Orchid Tree.. Excellent Lead In Judith P A delicious introduction to Lieutenant James Stevens, one of the central characters of Siobhan Daiko's new book, The Orchid Tree.
