Lisa writes with clarity and passion about an issue that faces anyone wanting to get treatment that doesn't include drug therapy: the prohibitive cost of natural medicine, specifically acupuncture.This book is for you if you are an acupuncturist, an acupuncture patient or someone who wants to be excited and inspired by what a group of normal (well, mostly normal) working class folks can do when they come together in community.This should be mandatory reading for acupuncture students BEFORE they go into mass. Must read if you're interested in acupuncture Lisa is always a really incredible writer and this book is no different! Must read if you're interested in acupuncture.. The author is one of the pioneers of the community acupuncture movement and writes with lucid prose on its beginnings and on its future importance in modern healthcare, for the simple reason that acupuncture works, and CA makes it accessible to the average worker. The book explains the reasons why with great clarity. Recommended.
