It is beautiful to note that Field thinking and Being could not Deborah Merchant Most of the awareness and knowledge in this book is not new. Many ancient cultures and even modern indigenous cultures have lived by these ideas for a very long time. Western philosophy espoused these ideas since the Renaissance, being eclipsed eventually by Locke, Descartes, and others. Descartes, Newton, and many other scientists since then almost completely eclipsed the Field ideas, literally shaping the modern Western mind, many of whom attempted to force indigenous minds to bend . Unifying Experience! Miscous I read "The Field" in 2016 . and it provided a unified perspective for many teachings I have encountered in the last 15 years!
