Creighton McMurray said Excellent overview. Steinbock et al present an excellent series of essays & articles that provide a quality overview of some of the key issues in bioethics. Almost all of the major figures in the field are represented and, likewise, most of the major views are as well. The majority of the essays are accessible and do not require much prior knowledge.My only complaint stems from the fact that the editors deleted the footnotes from numerous articles, severely limiting follow-up research. Oh, and PowerWeb is next to useless.All-in-all this is an exce. Anonymous said Imformative. I used this book for my "Ethics in Medicine" class in college. It is very imformative and gives you new perspectives on lots of ideas and concepts that you may have never thought about. It is a really HEAVY book and the material can be somewhat long & dense - which made it hard to stay focused. If, however, you are interested in this subject - by all means - read away!. Very satisfied! I will certainly buy from here again!! I normally buy my books from my campus bookstore, but it's close to the end of the semester and I realized I had the wrong book when the case I needed wasn't in the bioethics book I had! This textbook was really cheap and only cost me more because I paid for overnight shipping! The book is wonderful and is in great condition!
