Get at the Library if you must P. Baker Empire of Gold is not full of interesting historical facts about an Empire of Gold. It does have several characters that lack development. The characters race around the world with a flip of a page doing things with little, if any, discussion about just how they are able to accomplish these incredible feats of investigatory work which the author uses to bring you to the 'Empir. Alistair said Great read!. I really love Andy McDermott as an author. This book follows on from his other Nina Wilde stories, pretty much seems to be the female version of Clive Cusslers Dirk Pitt. The story can come across as being rather predictable, but I didn't care, enjoyed every minute of it and can't wait for the next book to arrive!. Empire of Gold Large Bear I read mostly for entertainment, and this series has always been entertaining.With a women as main protagonist, and her male foil not some James Bond good looking guy, I like the way his books come across.
