"Good Reference Book" according to Kari. This book is very helpful when it comes to giving examples of places the characters in your manga may come across and about the details regarding your characters from expressions to clothing styles.. AMAZING!!! This is a great book to see tools used by mangaka in Japan when I first started learning to draw manga I was already an art student and learned everything covered in this book in drawing classes in highschool and university. I also learned about the tools used by mangaka on the internet by reading webpages in both Japanese and English. This book is very good. My only complaint is that it lacks the Japanese. "cute but was expecting more." according to Lucky Star. i bought this expecting something as detailed as the first and scond book and that would help me with panel layout or drawing certain scenes. what i got was a vague manual on certain genres. but other than that it's pretty helpful with basic stuff like plotting. socute but was expecting more.
