I just finished reading Death is a Window for the second time and concluded for the second time, that I cannot recommend this book to my daughter; although, she has been a federal criminal investigator, ridden garbage trucks collecting murder evidence, been a decoy in joint US/Canadian drug operations, and seen some nasty terrorist killings during five years working in Algeria, Pakistan, and Bahrian. The depth of the Author's extraordinary story telling talent can only come from a life in law enforcement coupled with a wildly creative imagination inclined to shock and horror. The two adversaries were portrayed so vividly I either wanted to keep turning the pages or I wanted to snap the book shut because it was too disturbing to contemplate.
