Sanny said Slowly improved by the third book. The first in the trio was miserably slow, and all too predictable. The second was somewhat better. By the third, the reader still could figure out "who done it" early in the book, but there was at least a bit better plot surrounding the predictability.. Great reads and recipes to die for! What more could you want. I have read all three of these books. They are great reads. Amy and Sophie are always stumbling into trouble-usually in the form of a dead body. They cannot leave the investigations to the police and this gets complicated since Sophie is dating the hot detective. I love the recipes that are included. Go ahead and get the series because you will want to read all three and the next ones too!. "Five Stars" according to Pam Dalton. Love these books.
