I really liked this textbook and have found it to be a very good reference since taking the phonetics class. My professor used the book exclusively throughout the entire class and I found it to be easy to understand. The inside cover charts where a "lifesaver" when it came to knowing the phonetics chart. Great! This book is a wonderful introduction to phonetics. It is clear, visual, and has many useful charts and practice. It's a little pricey and has a few parts that I disagree with, but it is overall a really great book. I would recommend this to any professor looking for a book for an introduction to phonet
