"Love it!" according to Amazon Customer. I love this book!!! This is the only book I've ever found that is dedicated solely to 19th century children's fashions. Most of the patterns I've found for girls are pioneer dresses but with this book, you can see that with some modification(and patience) you can turn the adult fashions into girls outfits. It's been a little while since I've looked at the book but if I remember right, there is at least one page per year of the fashions. It's fun to see how they change from year to year. I highly recommend this book, especially if you are at your wits end trying to find pictures of childrens fashions l. Great for doll makers ans costumers I have owned this book for a number of years. As I sew for dolls this is quite a go-to book for young child and thus doll clothing. It is arranged by years of publication of the fashion plates so as to give a true idea of childhood fashion of each era. Love it.. Useful if not overwhelming If you are interested in how childred were dressed in the last century this book is invaluable. It isn't overwhelming or stunning as similar books on the fashions were because the children's clothing was not especially beautiful. It is a wonderful resource, however and very informative.
