Mostly hot air Guy who buys stuff This is not really a "how to" book on how to write a comedy screenplay. It gives a small number of good tips, but mostly blows hot air, and you can find those good tips elsewhere. There's no question the writer has definitely had huge success as a comedy screenwriter. I'm not knocking him there. Bride Wars was a $100M+ movie, so that's no joke. Very few screenwriters will get to tha. Great screenwriting book! Astrov2 Not just a treasure trove of insightful, essential screenwriting information, but a funny read as well. The straight dope on the film business, comedy writing and the hard work and dedication it takes to create a quality screenplay.. "Great book, great information!" according to T. T. Blendell. I love the beat breakdowns and the getting to the original idea of what the movie/script is about.I also like that this is written by an actually produced screenwriter with real insight into how Hollywood works. Also: it's funny!
