I kind of felt like I came in at the middle of the story at the start of this book Lots had happened but it was just told to you in conversation between Sophie and her friend Lexi. Sophie's husband was killed in a car accident several years ago. Sophie is a successful Cardiologist, who spends a lot of time at the hospital patching up members of opposing gangs after their gang battles. I found it very repetitive, discombobulated at times, and unrealistic when it comes to the main characters meeting. I understand the laws of attraction but not Like this. And the first time they're fully intimate would never happen that way with a first time submissive. Too much too fast!! As long as it was it is a CLIFFHANGER UGH!! I think it needs a rewrite!. Great Julie Barrett Bound by Her Master is the first book in The Heart Series, and it really gets the series off to a great start. It took me two or three chapters to properly get into the story, as I initially found it a bit slow, but then the story really picks up and I didn't want to put my kindle down.
