I also wavered between a Beautifully Written Reviewess I also wavered between a 4.5 & a 5, but finally settled on the 5 because I just enjoyed the book so much. I, too felt the book went on too long, but ultimately it didn't hinder my enjoyment of the story. The characters are beautifully drawn and complex. This is one of the best romances I've read in a long time. The love scenes were appropriately placed and well done. The writing was absolutely beautiful, the turn of phrase extraordinary. The plot moved at a good pace and kept me turning pages.
