Nice nice Nice book although the songs were a lot longer than anticipated about 3-Nice nice Elizabeth N. Nice book although the songs were a lot longer than anticipated about 3-4 pages long but nice cd. pages long but nice cd. Recommended Reading Jason D. Fletcher This book contains 18 intermediate pieces that would benefit a serious piano students repetoire. Written by J.S. Bach for instructing his son, these pieces are crafted for strengthening technique but stand alone as their own "mini" compositions. The CD is a valuable aid, though the pieces are played quite fast for most students at this level. The student should have good reading skills and good fundemental technique before starting this book.. "Bach preludes" according to Rachel Rose. I love this book. The CD that comes with it is excellent. The explanations of ornaments are detailed and the fingerings are helpful. I highly recommend this book.
Students are often introduced to these works prior to studying the Two-Part Inventions (Alfred Edition 22528). The Alfred Masterwork Library CD Editions conveniently combine each exceptional volume with a professionally recorded CD that is sure to inspire artistic performances. She has performed throughout North America and Europe with the Hambro Quartet of Pianos and was an editor and recording pianist for Alfred Music. This unique edition includes the realization of ornaments and guidance concerning tempos and articulation. Pianist Kim O'Reilly Newman holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Illinois. Kim is a brain tumor survivor and now specializes in performing music for the left hand.
