Jim literally does not say much about his life before The Stray Cats, doesn't go into that much detail about The Stray Cats, etc.. Dave Takis said Slim Jim ROCKS THIS TOWN!. Fantastically great book. I love autobiographical books like this where it's NOT a linear retelling of someone's life. Just a great collection of road stories and a who's who of rock n roll. You kind of forget that these guys were the biggest thing in music for a while! Please do a VOLUME "Slim Jim ROCKS THIS TOWN!" according to Dave Takis. Fantastically great book. Lots of interesting anecdotes and behind-the-scenes info, although I wish there were more about the band. It'd be great to get Lee Rocker's and Brian Setzer's takes on the band eventually. Also, the structure jumps back and forth quite a bit, and a more chronological timeline would have been beneficial, but for what it's worth, it's a pretty nice glimpse into Jim's life
